Group Benefits (Expansion)

Group Benefits

Advanced Talents (edited 08/18/06 & 08/10/08) - This ability of a Group allows for it's members to develop metatalents above and beyond those they are limited to by their normal initiatory development.  When developing metatalents in this manner, the initiate must meet the following requirements.

The method is now altered to match those rules as found in the Street Magic text, pg 52.

Beacon - This benefit allows for members to make it easier for other members of their group to locate them with regards to certain astral considerations.  Usage of the action is considered a sustained action.  Beacon my not be used by someone whom is using the Flux talent.

Group Edge - This benefit is actually an Edge attribute that is usable by the group for actions that are Group related (minimum of 3 members per group must be present and must be in compliance with the usage).  The Edge attribute is figured as if each member in the group in good standing equals three (3) karma points.  An Edge Attribute of three (3) requires eighteen (18) points of karma so would require a group of six (6) members in good standing to possess.  Expenditures of Group Edge can only benefit a single die roll as per normal Edge rules and do NOT benefit all related rolls of group members present.  For groups that allow for Mundane membership, a mundane members karma value is one (1) for this purpose.

Group Ritual - This benefit is an expansion of the Ritual Magic benefit.  It allows for members of a group whom are performing a ritual but are of differing traditions to function normally with regards to ritual time.

Karma - A Rebuild of the previously existing stricture, Karma remains in effect for many groups who maintain astral contacts and/or more powerful spiritual guides.  For every karma award that a character receives, they must devote one (1) point of it towards the maintenance of the astral connection.  Some groups have minimum award standards where others do not.
